• Apply a small amount of toothpaste to the surface of the brush. With your teeth slightly apart, position the brush at a 45-degree angle to the tooth surface, making vertical motions from the gum line to the tooth crown. Perform 10-15 motions on each side. Finish the brushing procedure with a gum massage, done with your teeth together, using circular motions of the toothbrush to cover both teeth and gums, moving from left to right. Rinse your mouth with a small amount of water, holding it for 10-15 seconds. Dentists and hygienists recommend replacing your toothbrush every 2 months.
